Allen Richon, Ph.D. is President of Molecular Solutions. He has over twenty-five years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with an emphasis on new lead discovery (medicinal chemistry, computational chemistry and cheminformatics), research information systems design and management, business management, and personnel development.
Dr. Richon's experience spans the fields of pharmaceutical research, scientific systems development, telecommunications, technology evaluation, pharmaceutical manufacturing, GMP/GCP compliance, World-Wide Web publishing, and general business development and organization. He has designed and specified computer systems architectures, participated in business and organizational planning, recruited and staffed key positions, and set and managed project priorities for two multinational pharmaceutical research organizations. As a co-founder of Molecular Solutions, he has consulted during the last ten years in areas including directed technical and scientific recruiting, executive placement, general human resource programs, research and systems planning, scientific systems specification, budget planning, strategic planning, and industry research. In 1995, Dr. Richon created Network Science Corporation as a registered non-profit (501(c)3) organization which assists in science education and career development within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. He currently serves as the Chief Science Officer for the company.
Merry Ambos is Vice-President and co-founder of Molecular Solutions. She has worked with the computer, molecular modeling, and pharmaceutical industries for over thirty years.
As the original business professional in a technical start-up, Ms. Ambos was responsible for organizing the company as a business unit and managing its financial operations. As the company grew she managed the financial, personnel, sales and administrative aspects of the business. A founding member of the management team, Ms. Ambos was instrumental in setting strategic directions in response to competitive pressures from within the industry. During her tenure as Vice President of Sales, she hired and managed U.S. sales executives, sales support scientists, and sales administration personnel. She was also responsible for managing foreign accounts.
Ms. Ambos is the manager of Molecular Solutions' Placement Services Group. In this role, she has worked with the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries to successfully direct scientific recruiting and executive placement, address general HR compensation programs, and contribute to a broad variety of industry-based research programs. Ms. Ambos also is the co-founder of Network Science Corporation where she holds the position of President.
