The Review: When a Harvard-educated CIA agent dies in the line of duty, his twin brother (Rock) is recruited by the agent in charge of the op (Hopkins) because the work is unfinished. But there are problems (aren't there always?!): his twin doesn't know he's a twin, he's uneducated (formally) and has a major attitude, Hopkins' character doesn't really believe Rock can do it and further does not have a lot of support from his superiors, and (as always) there's a major time crunch. So this must be classed as a action thriller / comedy -- in part because Chris Rock is in it, but also (to give it its due) because the script does have some very funny moments in it.
Hopkins is not playing up to snuff, but we are generally not used to seeing him as the focus of character growth; the last time I remember this was in Shadowlands (1993). Rock is pretty good in a part serious, part humorous role.
