The Review: Romantic comedy, not aggressively soppy.

He -- much divorced real estate executive George Wade (Grant) -- keeps selecting and sleeping with his attractive but professionally unqualified general counsels and consequently getting abysmal (legal) service. She -- Harvard-educated Lucy Kelson (Bullock), daughter of two 60's legal firebrands and liberal advocates (Ivey and Klein: very well cast) -- keeps fighting lost causes as a legal aid attorney in NYC's boroughs. When she confronts him about saving a landmark Coney Island community center (as opposed to developing it) and gets hired instead, on the spot, the trouble starts. And amusing trouble it is.

Good chemistry between the leads -- not quite Hepburn and Tracy, but pretty good. Both have excellent timing and delivery. Bullock stands a chance, however, of being typecast as a sporadically frumpy professional who cleans up spectacularly.
