The Review: Little of novelty; absolutely nothing of interest.

With this entry, the saga (these successors do not prove worthy of "epic") of the Matrix is now complete -- finally and thankfully. Now Keanu Reeves can move onto something (inevitably) more interesting. What started out lo those many years ago as a clever idea, done well -- in a model of virtual reality coupled with stylized homage to Hong Kong kung fu visuals -- has by now degenerated into a mere battle action flick against inhuman & overwhelming odds. Yawn. This is not what I signed up for: I'm outta here.

"No one can see beyond a choice you do not understand" (one of the puzzles offered up by The Oracle, direct from the screenplay). And so much for my choice to see this third installment. I tend to be a completist, but in this case I should have taken my own recommendation, paid attention to the trend-line (steeply downhill from Matrix to Matrix Reloaded) and just skipped this execrable waste of time.
