The Review: Light situation comedy about neighborhood friends and the devastating consequences of deciding not to celebrate Christmas, derived from the short novel (Skipping Christmas) by John Grisham. The seasonal message is neither in-your-face overt nor heavily disguised; barely tolerable, not preachy.

Good collection of face-familiar character actors. Jamie Lee Curtis follows on her True Lies experience showing her talents at physical comedy. Tim Allen is Tim Allen.
