The Review: Carefully photographed ambiguity, a character under extreme stress who may be sufficiently deranged to be a danger, a missing child (maybe): Flightplan is a tightly wired psychological thriller with just enough twists to keep your interest. It's pacing could have been turned up a notch, but it's not bad as it is.

Jodi Foster is an aeronautical engineer who is returning to the US after a long stint in Germany designing engines for the current crop of super-sized passenger aircraft. This background comes in useful as she starts a frantic on-board search for her missing child -- offering some of the classic feel of a locked room or moving train mystery.
