Title: Binta and the Great Idea (Binta Y La Gran Idea)

The Review: A somewhat longer short feature, narrated by a small girl (Binta) from a small African village -- partly about her father's quest to get recognition for what seems like a simple idea, partly about the education of women in their culture. Although simply filmed, the narrative structure is actually quite complex. And the message is appropriately politically correct.

Spanish.

One of the 2006 Academy Award nominees for live action short feature; others included The Saviour, Helmer and Son, One Too Many and West Bank Story.
