The Review: How can you not like Scrat?! The endearingly possessive critter from Ice Age stumbles upon an abandoned time machine, and becomes embroiled in an manic (since when is anything Scrat does less than manic?!) hunt for "his" acorn across time. Some of the spookier music was credited from the classic 1953 sci-fi film It Came From Outer Space.

One of the 2006 Academy Award nominees for animated short feature; others included Danish Poet, Maestro and Little Matchgirl. Other animated short features (screened at the same time) that qualified or were shortlisted for Oscar nomination included One Rat Short, The Passenger, The Wraith of Cobble Hill, Guide Dog and Gentlemen's Duel.
