The Review: A wife up and leaves her husband and older son; when you see the pigsty they're in, you're not at all surprised. After trying to live on their own for a (very) short time, they soon get the grand idea to recruit the mother-in-law away from the retirement home to take care of them.

This grows on you -- starting out with a father and son who are absolute, unrepentant slobs; but gradually, when you tumble to what's going on, it becomes clever.

Spanish.

One of the 2006 Academy Award nominees for live action short feature; others included The Saviour, Helmer and Son, Binta and the Grand Idea and West Bank Story.
