The Review: A young student walking through the neighborhood avoids an obnoxious dog, then gets on the bus, puts on his earplugs and cranks up the iPod-like device. This simple act transforms the only other passenger on the bus.

Clever gimmick, excellent critter design (these are not your garden-variety humanoids) and curious, almost geeky, protagonist.

Australian. One of the 2006 Academy Award nominees for animated short feature; others included Danish Poet, Maestro, Little Matchgirl and No Time for Nuts. Other animated short features (screened at the same time) that qualified or were shortlisted for Oscar nomination included One Rat Short, The Wraith of Cobble Hill, Guide Dog and Gentlemen's Duel.
