The Review: Both a pastiche of West Side Story and a mildly funny political parody, this transforms warring back-street New York gangs into opposing Israeli and Palestinian falafel dealers, and the star-crossed Shakespearean couple into a border guard and his Palestinian paramour. Over the top, forced, but not unenjoyable.

Winner of the 2006 Academy Award for live action short feature; other nominees included The Saviour, Helmer and Son, One Too Many and Binta and the Grand Idea.
