The Review: A teenager from a single-parent family is neglected by his TV-addicted mom, and hangs out with friends in the downstairs corner store. Although not a model citizen, he's nonetheless recruited by the store owner to take care of his dog while he's away for awhile. Tear-jerker plot; bit of a downer.

B&W claymation & stop action.

One of the 2006 Academy Award nominees for animated short feature; others included Danish Poet, Maestro, Little Matchgirl and No Time for Nuts. Other animated short features (screened at the same time) that qualified or were shortlisted for Oscar nomination included One Rat Short, The Passenger, Guide Dog and Gentlemen's Duel.
