The Review: Romantic comedy about (surprise) someone who likes weddings. And how many times has this phrase been used: "Always a bridesmaid, never the bride"? On the whole, however, not bad.

Jane (Heigl) has collected the titular 27 bridesmaid dresses in her overstuffed closet from an overabundance of wedding attendance. She works for, and has a monstrous crush on, her boss George (Burns), but is both annoyed and conflicted when her Euro-trash sister (Greer) appears and steals his heart. Watching this all from the sidelines is Kevin (Marsden), the cynical "commitments" writer for a great metropolitan newspaper. You can put the puzzle pieces together.

But you wouldn't predict the pre-wedding slide show. Or the mobile taxi shuttle and changing room.
