The Review: The Book of Jobtransmuted into a night on the town. We follow a couple of almost-nebbishes (Carell and Fey) as they uncharacteristically assume the names of someone at the head of a very long restaurant waiting queue (impatient to get into a really hot place), and consequently get deeply entangled in a case of mistaken identity. You really don't want to be the people whose name they borrowed, as it turns out, since they're apparently on the lamb from the local mob, being chased by hit-men or bad cops.
Not bad, laced with tidbits of humor, but it gets a bit wearing at times. Some hilarious sight gags -- Tina Fey as a stripper, for example. It is interesting to see Carell and Fey working together, since I think this is the first time it's happened, but I was not blown away by their synergy. The star of the show, however, is Wahlberg, as a previous client of Fey's (real estate agent) with a remarkable set of skills, contacts, weapons and vehicles -- and a droll aversion to wearing shirts.
